Why do so many Christians not want a sanctified message? It’s a rebuke, and a conviction many don’t want to face. There are those who have accepted Christ, and are self-satisfied in their religious process. Brother Swaggart says, those with a self-satisfied heart are tough to move out of their spiritual rut. But for people who are desperate for change, and broken from failure, this message of the Cross will go to work quickly. When we realize, we can’t accomplish self-sanctification, we discover brokenness. This is where self-denial can really start. We’re reminded of the Apostle Paul, saved, filled, and struggling to overcome sin, his cry of desperation; "O wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from the body of this death? “
