certainly what he has to say was given to him by the Lord. Even though Daniel was second to Nebuchadnezzar, Daniel is still the better man because he knows Jehovah. The less is blessed by the better. Daniel gives a gentle rebuke to the king so that he may know the true God in heaven. Because of sin, and failure to hear the prophets, we see how the scepter of power was taken from the faltering hands of the kings of Judah and placed in the hands of the Gentiles, where it has been ever since.
