The Book of Daniel is about Israel. Today on A Study In A Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the thrones in Daniel being cast down; as they pertained to all the Empires in Daniel’s day starting with Babylon, Medo-Persia, the Grecian Empire, and mighty Rome that ruled the world for a thousand years, and then there is nothing left, or nothing that speaks or addresses itself to such because Israel was destroyed. This is not about the United States, or anywhere else in the world; Israel was destroyed in A.D. 70, by Titus, and the temple was destroyed, over a million people were slaughtered in the battle, and over a million were sold as slaves all over the world, and so it ceased to be a nation. There was one more effort, around A.D. 150 or 135, but it did not bring forth any fruit; and so, the Jewish people were scattered all over the world. While the thrones were cast down, the Ancient of Days did sit.
