Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss one of Daniel’s greatest prayers of repentance and intercession. He is crying out for Israel, crying out because of Israel’s sin. Reading in Daniel chapter nine verse twelve, and he has confirmed his words, which he spoke against us, and against our judges who judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil. God will always confirm his word, and curse those who sin, and bless those who obey. His attitude, in this respect, does not change from the old covenant to the new. Brother Swaggart says despite the fact that we are under grace, God’s attitude toward sin has never, and can never change. God blesses those who obey him, and he brings judgment upon those who do not. All believers should want and desire to draw near to the Lord. We don’t serve God to get benefit from him alone, we serve him because He is God.
