Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss Daniel 9:14. Therefore as the Lord watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us, for the Lord our God is righteous in all His works, which He does, for we obeyed not His voice. What the Lord has done is the right thing; His righteousness is vindicated in judgment on sin that refuses to be repented of. In this day of grace, in which we live presently, it says here, that the Lord watched upon the evil and brought it upon us. The panel addresses whether the Lord still does this today. He’s watching over, supervising. He is alert to those things that are happening. He’s not the author of evil, but the evil is the result of sin, and the Lord will use other nations to chastise, especially His people, Israel.
