An unrepentant heart will harden. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Romans 2:5-7. Christians often times fail to understand what it means to have a relationship with God and go into a form of godliness without an actual relationship with Christ. The panel discusses how our nation began on Godly principles with men who believed in God and prayed on every governing decision. Today man has drifted so far from God, in our schools, our universities, the workplace, and yes, in politics. Brother Swaggart adds, that when he was young, and someone ran for public office, it didn’t mean they were saved by a long shot; but there was almost always an inkling, of knowledge of God. Scripture says we will reap what we sow, and God most certainly does not overlook sin. The Apostle Paul is not teaching a salvation by works as many believe, but it is a salvation by faith and grace.
