Today on A Study in The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the Apostle Paul’s teaching on the rejection or the mishandling of the revelation that God had given to humanity. Brother Larson says to the Gentile, seeing creation and having conscience, because of these, we owe God to discover Him, to look for Him, to find Him, to acknowledge Him. The Jews had the bible, they had the Old Testament scriptures, and yet, they still moved away from what God asked them to do and broke the Covenant through a lack of faith, and a lack of proper action. They didn’t properly handle the revelation that God gave, and anytime God gives a revelation and it’s not handled well, God turns those people over to sin, over to the power of sin. Just as we saw in Romans chapter one, we see the same problem with humanity is that God offers Himself and man rejects it, resulting in the symptoms of sin.
