Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss God’s intent to not allow us to live in sin; while it is not very pleasant to go through, keeping our faith anchored in Christ we can overcome it. Trials and tests are never pleasant. Christians must know, that faith in Christ doesn’t prevent us from having problems. Using Job as an example, God was dealing with his attitude, his theology, and his view of himself, all of that was part of Job’s growth process. He tells him, Job, you’re frustrated with me, but where were you when I created the universe, you weren’t there, but I was there. This is a good example of how despite hard times and troubles, God is still in control. Coming through these times of growth, the believer will end up in a brand new stage, in a new level of serving God, and have an increased knowledge of just who God is.
