Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Romans 7:7 discussing the sin nature in a life and moral behavior according to God. what God says is sin in the Old Covenant is sin in the New Covenant, but believers are no longer under the Mosaic law, but while we are in Christ, and still serve the same God who has the same desire for the moral character of man. Brother Swaggart warns that believers today still try to make their own laws and works to live a life they believe would be pleasing to God; but unfortunately, the government of any kind of law can free the believer of sin. Sin will only yield to faith in the finished work of Christ, and then man can walk victoriously and be freed from the bondage of sin.
