Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel welcome guest Evangelist Jason Stidham as they continue their discussion on salvation and sanctification. When God created mankind, He created man in a container of flesh. It contained a heart, soul, spirit, mind, that is what flesh is, what God created. It was perfect. It did not have a sin nature. When Adam and Eve fell, the sin nature became a part of the reality, and the sin nature corrupted the flesh, heart, the mind. When Jesus came, He was the last Adam, and the second man. He came in the likeness of sinful flesh, but He wasn’t sinful, and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. That flesh was perfect. Everything as God created it, the first time, now existed in Christ, and it was never corrupted. Our problem is that we have indwelling sin, and we have a heart and a mind and emotions, everything in us, which is bent by sin. When we get, born again, this page that has been so corrupted by sin starts to be changed back towards what God originally created man to be.
