Today on A Study in The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Romans 5:12, discussing how sin came into the world. All are born in sin because of Adam’s transgression. Adam was the head of the human race, so when he fell in the garden, we became in the likeness of Adam, and not in the likeness of what God had intended. Jesus Christ is the head of the church, so when we are born of Him, we become like Him. Our old nature is rendered inoperative. Jesus took care of everything at the Cross. Even through hardships, and the suffering of sin, when we receive Him as Savior and walk daily with Him by faith, we will live the resurrection life.
