Salvation does not mean that a person will live a spotless life and never make a mistake. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss how our freedom acquired at salvation is a learning experience. As believers, we must understand our union with Christ, resting, depending, and humbly trusting Him to provide us the power to live the Christian life in victory. When we fail, we must not take sin for granted; we must not overlook it, or condone sin. Everything in a believer should want to have victory over sin, to where it’s no longer a problem in our heart. But if we fail, we must not quit. We must ask the Lord to forgive us, and He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
