Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel study Romans chapter seven discussing law, and the effort of the flesh or any effort that develops when law is presented to us. The panel discusses the common debate of whether the Apostle Paul was saved when he wrote this Romans seven experience. The panel agrees this is after Paul’s conversion. Paul was saved because he talks about hating sin, and the sin nature reviving in his life. Believers, at some point in their life, will likely have a Romans seven experience because it is part of the growing process. When struggling with sin, often we try to fulfill a law or a commandment in our own flesh; this will bring about destruction and failure. Our dependence must be exclusively in the finished work of the Cross, and then the Holy Spirit will work on our behalf to lead us into a victorious Christian life.
