Today on A Study In the Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read 2nd Corinthians 6:15 discussing that there is no biblical evidence that a believer in Christ can be possessed by a demon; however, a Christian can, let their guard down, and open themselves up to oppression. This is an external attack. When Christ lives in us, only He can possess us, but our faith will be tested. We must have the correct object of faith in Christ and Him crucified. The Lord will allow the testing of our faith to reveal to us something we need to yet learn in our Christian walk. To live a victorious Christian life, we must be totally dependent up the blood of Jesus and not dependent upon self.
