Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the freedom we find in Jesus Christ. As Paul taught the new converts that the law and works being taught by the Judaizers goes against the work of Christ on Calvary’s Cross. The believer must know what the Cross afforded them and all the value that it brings to their life at salvation. Reading Romans 8:11-12, we see how we are not debtors to live after the flesh, but through the Spirit mortify the deeds of the body. In Christ, at salvation we gained a position and the Holy Spirit works on our behalf to bring our outward condition up to that position when we anchor our faith in Christ crucified and that alone.
