What shall we say then? Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Romans 7:7, discussing how the law defined sin. The law showed man what sin is, but it in no way gave man a way to overcome it. Man has been wrongly taught that works and man’s own self-efforts can overcome the sin and struggles in their life. The only way to overcome sin and live a victorious Christian life is to place faith in Christ and His finished work alone and then the Holy Spirit can lead a believer into a life filled with the righteousness of Christ.
