How to do, the what to do? Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the power of the Holy Spirit and how He moves in our lives, changing us into the image of Christ. Many Christians stumble in the religious entrapments of the church, where faith is placed in praying, fasting, bible reading, and other good works. While those things are expected to come about in a believer’s life, they must not become what our faith is in. Brother Josh says, if we put our faith in our doing, it will end up in either burnout or self-righteousness. These things will not set us free from the sin in our lives. A changed life, that’s growing in Christ, will be the result as we keep our faith in Christ alone; then, the Holy Spirit will bring these about in our Christian walk. The believer must understand the flesh versus the Spirit if we are to live a victorious Christian life.
