We must not minimize the salvation experience. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the power of God that begins to work on a life immediately when we say yes to Christ. Brother Swaggart reminds us that we can go to heaven without speaking in other tongues, but we cannot make heaven without being saved. We must know that through Christ’s death at Calvary, we will find victory in our Christian walk, that is, if our faith stays anchored there and there alone. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a second subsequent work that is available to all who are saved, and it will result in the speaking with other tongues. The believer will experience the power of the Spirit to lead us in our walk with an even greater desire to serve and take the gospel to the lost.
