If the Christian doesn’t understand the message of the Cross, which is the message of victory, the message of overcoming power, then there will be something in his or her life that is not what it ought to be, and the Lord wants to rid us of that, whatever it might be. Brother Swaggart says this is freeing teaching, knowing that you can be free, and you don’t have to be controlled by any power of darkness. Jesus Christ died for every sin problem known to man; we need only to believe, and He will make us free.
