A Study In The Word

Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss justification. Brother Larson says it is not just an event, justification is a lifestyle. It’s an approach to God, that’s why scripture says, the just shall live by faith. When the believer doesn’t know what to place their faith in, the river gets jammed. We can stop the river from flowing; that is, we hinder the flow of God. We can frustrate the grace of God in our lives when we don’t anchor our faith in the finished work of Calvary. Brother Swaggart asks, why didn't God release, or produce, the message of the Cross in the matter that he is now, long before? He did in some respect; many of the great men of God, like Charles Spurgeon, if you go back to his writings, you see the Cross emphasized. But in this day and hour, God has released it in such a way that many more will come to know it and realize it, and see the river flow in their lives.
