Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel study Paul’s writings in the Book of Romans. We see what Christ has done, freeing man from the penalty of sin. Forgiveness of sin is the benefit we have through faith in the Cross of Christ. We have access to this forgiveness by faith into grace; we understand that there is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus. Paul shows how there is a beauty of a life that was once wrecked by sin, but the gospel relieves us of the guilt, not just the penalty, but also the guilt. The Holy Spirit safeguards us from allowing Satan to come back in and use guilt as a tool to silence our testimony in Christ. Let all believers press forward to the mark of the high calling in Christ Jesus
