Today on A Study in The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss Daniel 8:23; and in the latter time of their kingdom, when transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance and understanding dark sentences shall stand up. In the latter time of their kingdom, pertains to the coming of the Antichrist. The Holy Spirit completely ignores the Roman Empire at this particular stage. He doesn’t ignore it in the whole of the prophecies given, but in this particular prophecy, he ignores it. Now we see, the Grecian Empire, and Alexander the Great, with the same spirit that propelled him, now jumping to the Antichrist; this same spirit, that chronicled him, will do the same thing with the man of sin.
