Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the rest we find when our faith is in Christ alone. When we anchor our faith in the finished work of Christ, sin will not reign in our lives. Unfortunately, many believers are bound by alcohol, pornography, nicotine, and so much more. Statistics show that every year a half a million Americans die from nicotine related illnesses. The believer is not to be brought under the power of something that the body and mind crave. Even if the believer doesn’t believe he or she has a bondage to something, we must remember we are a witness for Christ, so if we are under the power of something, and other people see it, then we have taken our liberty and possibly led a weaker brother into bondage.
