Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Romans 6:8-10 discussing how the believer is dead to the sin nature by virtue of the Cross and our faith in His sacrifice. This is where we can find resurrection life. The Lord paved the way for us by giving Himself as a sacrifice on the Cross, shedding His life’s blood, and just to suffer was not enough. Scripture says the life of the flesh is in the blood. He was the only one that could solve the problem of humanity. We are all born in sin, a product of Adam’s fall. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, so this means that mankind is incapable of doing what needs to be done. Our hope is found in Christ alone.
