Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss Romans chapter sixteen, and the return of the Jews, including Aquila and Priscilla, to Rome in 55 A.D. after being ousted Paul’s writings are dealing with the tension in Rome regarding the law, the Jew, and the Gentile. He is teaching the Jew and the Gentile what the gospel really is. This detail is so important because of the tension that existed between the Jewish remnants of the church and the Gentile remnants of the church as they join together. The church needed unity that only the preaching of the true gospel could offer. Christ was the end of the law.
