Are you concerned that churches today are trying to come together on common ground at the expense of the truth? Brother Loren Larson says loving people is right, but not to confuse that with watering down doctrine just to agree. The panel addresses an event, called the Declaration of Faith and Unity for Mission, where major leaders in Protestantism came together with the Pope. That meeting resulted in an overall agreement that the Reformation was over. Some of those involved, Kenneth Copeland, James Robinson and others promoted unity between the churches. Brother Swaggart expresses concern that millions of people will lose their souls because of such false teaching. The panel addresses whether evangelicals and Catholics preach the same gospel? Brother Bob Cornell explains cherry picking doctrine. Dave Smith adds that the meeting contradicts the very basics of Catholicism; by which the the Catholic church believes that only Catholics will be in heaven. The panel encourages us with scripture, in Ephesians Chapter 2, where the Lord clearly states believers are saved by faith alone and not of works.
