Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the work of the Holy Spirit at salvation what occurs there, before what happens with the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which began at Pentecost. At salvation we are a new creation in Christ and have everything we need for life and living. Brother Larson wants believers to realize the power of the Spirit that comes in at salvation because of the Cross of Christ; then, we become a candidate for the second subsequent work of the Holy Spirit, which is primarily for service. Proper faith, and understanding indwelling, and empowerment, of the Holy Spirit at the beginning of salvation, along with studying the Book of Acts is ever important in walking out a victorious Christian life.
