The Cross exposes the sin in our life. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss what the law could not do, and what the full value of Christ’s death on Calvary affords everyone who will only believe. Brother Larson says the law was not at fault; but it was given to show the people that they could not keep the law, but rather it was given to show us who we are and what we are capable of. If the Cross isn’t being preached, then likely sin isn’t being preached, which then results in humanistic psychology being the answer to man’s problems. At the Cross, Christ won all our battles over sin. When we believe in His saving power, He not only pays our sin debt owed, but breaks the power of the sin nature in our lives.
