Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel welcome guest Evangelist Adam Fulghum, reading in Romans 7:22-23 as they discuss man’s willpower. Man does, and should, desire to live right, but not by our own self-efforts. Christ broke the power of sin, and it’s important to know how we receive what all He did on Calvary’s Cross, that being for salvation and our sanctification. The law of God is a moral code of God that is implanted in us by the power of the Holy Spirit when we enter into the New Covenant; this union with Christ, and victory over sin, can only be achieved by faith alone in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
