Today on A Study In The Word, Brother Swaggart and panel discuss the importance of the Word of God. Brother Bob Cornell shares John 15:3 and how Jesus taught that the Word of God will cleanse us. Faith placed in Christ will cause a cleansing process in our lives. Brother Bob shares, if Jesus taught the people that the Word cleanses, before He even went to the Cross, then how much more are we cleansed since Christ has finished His work at Calvary’ Cross. Brother Swaggart warns of the many Bible versions out there that are not a word for word translation of the Bible. The panel encourages believers to find a literal, word for word translation of the Bible, which means it is translated to English from what the original writer had written in Hebrew and Greek. Brother Swaggart says he finds the King James Version is the closest to the original Bible manuscript.
