Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the importance of spirit filled preaching and teaching. Unfortunately, many bible students today are getting farther away from Pentecost, and seeking the presence and moving of the Holy Spirit. Instead, spiritual gift’s tests, or personality tests are all in an attempt to try to make sense of psychology and how it can fit into Christianity. The only “professional help” man must know, is man has a sin problem that only faith in Christ and Him crucified can answer, which is addressed through the power of the Holy Spirit. Our personality must come in line with the character of God; this is where we can find victory over sin and walk out this life as God has intended.
