The power source for believers is the Holy Spirit, which comes into our lives at salvation. We are justified and dependent on Him. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss where the Christian’s strength comes from reading Romans 5:6. Because of Christ’s finished work at Calvary, the penalty of sin has been paid for, and the power of sin broken; sin’s dominion cannot continue, but Brother Larson explains how this provision needs to be believed so the sin nature will remain dormant. When we leave this truth, the sin nature can be revived in the life of a believer. When we keep our faith anchored in Him, our faith matures. Brother Swaggart says heaven will be worth this journey, for there, we will receive our glorified bodies, and sin will no longer be an issue.
