Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the emphasis of the Assemblies of God Church in the sixties and seventies. Dr. Gray said the focus then was on salvation, the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and speaking in tongues, with little emphasis on living a victorious Christian life. The Church of God taught the three works of grace; saved, sanctification, and then the baptism.
