Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel continue in their study of the fourth chapter of Romans discussing the misunderstandings of sanctification. Brother Swaggart believes many pastors are avoiding the teaching and preaching of it all together because they don’t understand it. We have a position in Christ at salvation, and the Holy Spirit wants to bring our condition up to this position. It is a secure position; we are washed, sanctified, and justified in Christ. The panel dives into where confusion rooted and has taken many twists and turns through the various early sects of Christianity right up to where it is being incorrectly taught today.
