Some people have a heart inclined toward the things of God, while others do not. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss Daniel's telling Belshazzar the pride of his grandfather caused him to be deposed from his kingly throne, and he went insane for seven years. But after it all, Nebuchadnezzar repented and was restored, whereas Belshazzar showed no inclination whatsoever toward repentance and therefore was not restored. Brother Swaggart asks, why, do you have these two kings of Babylon, heads of the mightiest empire on the face of the earth with one giving his heart to the Lord, the other does not; why does the Holy Spirit move on some and not others? We don’t know why some people are touched by God’s testimonies and some are not; it all goes back to the heart of the individual.
