Have you been transformed from defeat to victory? Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Romans 6:23 discussing sanctification. Death and dying is the result of living on a plain of works, and life and living is the result of living on a plain of grace. We cannot sanctify ourselves. Jesus Christ accomplished it all, paying the highest price by dying a cruel death on Calvary’s Cross. He died to save us, and He died for every person who is saved to be able to live a victorious Christian life as well. At salvation, we were set a part and redeemed when we were united with Christ. We must operate from this union, where all sin, past, present, and future was taken care of. This is where we can walk out what Christ already won on our behalf. Anchored faith, in His finished work, will allow the Holy Spirit to change us into the image of Christ.
