Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the only true peace that comes from God. We are at enmity with God before we get saved. Brother Swaggart says the only way this can be assuaged is by a relationship through Christ, and then we will find peace. Can conscience is some ways be deduced down to guilt? The conscience produces the emotion of guilt, the sense of guilt. The conscience gives us the understanding of right and wrong; so if we do wrong, guilt is the natural emotion, it’s where our mind goes. We’re not created to live with guilt. We’re not created to live with anxiety. We’re not created to live with emotions of negativity. God didn’t create us for that. He created us for peace and relationship with Him.
