Struggling is not backsliding. A believer must be careful to heed to the conviction of the Holy Spirit when he or she has sinned. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the monster that sin is, and the importance of repentance for a failure. The believer must step away from the direction of sin and self and agree with God to go in His direction. Brother Swaggart warns us that the flesh can want something that the Spirit hates; a child of God should hate sin in their life. When we keep our faith anchored in Christ and Him crucified, we will walk out this Christian life in victory. This is the only way man’s chains of bondage can be broken.
