At salvation we are sanctified. This is a present tense statement. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Titus 3:5 discussing all the benefits the believer receives at salvation. When we are born again, we will progress in justification and sanctification; we grow in all the benefits Christ achieved for us on Calvary’s Cross. We are washed, and we are holy. At salvation, the sin nature becomes dormant; this doesn’t mean that we will never sin again, but it does mean that the sin nature will no longer dominate the believer when our faith is anchored in the finished work of Christ. We grow in our salvation, in the grace and the knowledge of God.
