The Gospel is the power of God unto all those who will believe. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss how it is the power of the gospel that can wipe away the blindness of man. Brother Swaggart says when faith rises in the hearts of those who have been blinded by the influences around them, that faith will result in a harvest of souls. It’s faith that changes people. Jesus said, the spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed me to preach the Gospel to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them who are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. Brother Swaggart says God wants to put that same anointing upon his preachers, and only then, can the darkness in the hearts of men around the world be broken; for the preaching of the Cross is the power of God unto salvation.
