What Christ did at Calvary gives us more than just freedom from the penalty of sin; it’s freedom from the power of sin. We’re not going to be free from the presence of sin totally until the rapture, but we can find freedom from every single threat that sin brings into our lives. We will find, the joy of Christianity is walking in the truth that victory has been won. A relationship with Christ is worthwhile. It’s not simple; it’s not easy, and it’s not a walk in the park. We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers. These sins grip the heart and mind, and there is no other means of release from them outside of faith in Christ and the Cross. God’s grace is sufficient.
