Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss Daniel 9:20. Looking at, and while I was speaking and praying and confessing my sin, and the sin of my people Israel; with regards to sin, we see that the blood of bulls and goats in the Old Covenant could not take away. It served as a sacrifice to cover sin, but it could not take it away. In the New Covenant, Jesus Christ’s blood is the sacrifice that fully covers and takes away sin for all who would believe on Him. Believers in both Covenants were fully justified; for the Bible says, Abraham was justified by faith. The Old Covenant pointed to the New Covenant to come.
