Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss Daniel 8:9, and out of one of them, came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great toward the South, and toward the East, and toward the pleasant land. Out of one of them came forth a little horn, refers to the future Antichrist coming out of one of these four divisions of the Old Grecian Empire. Toward the South, refers to Egypt; toward the East refers to Syria, Iraq, and Iran. Towards the pleasant land refers to Israel; from this area, the Antichrist will make his bid for the world dominion. He’ll take over all of that area. The thrust of the Great Tribulation will be in the Middle East, but America will suffer some, as the elements of the heavens will be usurped by God. Brother Swaggart believes the great wars of this time will be fought in the Middle East; affecting greatly the area of the Old Roman Empire. Bible prophecy shows this is the centralized area, of the reign of the Antichrist, where all the action takes place around the Mediterranean, with its destruction targeted on Israel.
