Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the necessity for the understanding of sanctification and the Message of the Cross. The Apostle Paul gave an indictment against Israel, saying they had a zeal after God, but not according to God’s righteousness; for they didn’t understand God’s righteousness. They were ignorant, he said of it; and that word ignorant doesn't mean that they didn’t know, but it was a willful ignorance. In other words, they heard it, but they willingly disregarded it. The believer must know the Holy Spirit works through the confines of the Cross and is doing a work in us. This must not be ignored; the Holy Spirit bears witness to the finished work of Christ on Calvary’s Cross. Will you ignore it too?
