Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss what it means to abide in Christ. Brother Gray describes it as living in the shadow of the Cross every day of our life. We live with the reality of the Cross in our lives, which in effect, releases us from the past bondage of sin, but also the present power of sin. Christ paid our debt of sin, covering our penalty, thus we are justified. His death also covers our Christian walk going forward, protecting us from the power of sin and sanctifying us. We must ever anchor our faith at the Cross so sin will not have dominion in our lives. This is how we abide in Christ and can live a victorious Christian life.
