Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss baptism into Christ, baptism in water, and baptism in the Holy Spirit, as they study the Book of Romans and read Acts 2:38 looking at Peter’s teaching on the order of what happens after repentance. The panel also discusses the wrong teaching among many believers, where they wrongly require water baptism before the infilling of the Holy Spirit. In the early church, water baptism occurred Romans 10:13, for by grace are we saved through faith. Water baptism is an outward act following what has happened in the heart. Peter is giving an invitation for salvation; whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord, shall be saved.
