God’s method of victory comes through the sacrifice. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss Samuel, one of the greatest men of God who ever lived, and the understanding of biblical types and shadows of the Redeemer to come. The many types and shadows in the Old Covenant all painted a perfect picture of the slain Lamb to come and where faith must be anchored in His sacrifice alone. Then and now, we must seek the Lord and let our eyes be upon Him. Our answer comes from the Lord alone, we cannot fight our own battles. God’s greatest victories in the Old Testament came to God’s people when they were resting and trusting on the sacrifice. Standstill and see the salvation of the Lord.
