Do you know people who say they won’t believe God because they don’t see God? Today’s panel discusses John 14:17, "whom the world cannot see”. Brother Bob Cornell explains how at that time in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd centuries early Christians fought the Roman idols of the world; that they couldn't receive the idea of a Sovereign God in part because they could not see Him. The panel works to clarify when one first believes, and receives Christ as their Savior and how they immediately receive the Holy Spirit. They explain being born again, along with Acts and Pentecost, and just what the Holy Spirit's position is in the believer’s life. Brother Larson explains the confusion between the first and second work of the Holy Spirit; meaning the baptism of the Holy Spirit and His indwelling with speaking of tongues. Brother Dave Smith adds to the discussion with scripture that helps clarify just what role the Holy Spirit should play in a believer’s life.
