Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Romans 4:9 discussing justification by faith and what is circumcision of the heart. In the early church, the Apostle Paul was correcting those Jews who were identifying again with physical circumcision, food laws, and the keeping of the Sabbath. Two thousand years later, we see law keeping similarities among many believers, i.e., water baptism for salvation, keeping the Lord’s Supper, and Saturday Sabbath keeping, are just a few of the things Christians are putting their faith in instead of the Cross of Christ alone.
