Jesus’ death on Calvary’s Cross satisfied sin; it is the satisfaction for all of mankind. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart welcomes Pastors Bill Bailey and Tommy Bates to the panel discussing man’s problem of sin. Studying the Book of Romans, we find how we can be legally cleared of all the charges against us. Jesus' death on Calvary’s Cross drops all charges against us; when we repent, we are justified by faith when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior. Our faith can’t be in self, but in His finished work, and then the Holy Spirit goes to work leading us to live a victorious Christian life. Brother Smith says Satan tries to tie us to the sin of our past, but Jesus settled it long ago through His blood. He has forgiven us as far as the East is from the West.
